  68. Thanks for your interest in CMFiler!  It is a product acclaimed by the
  69. media and users alike for the completeness of its file and disk
  70. services, ease of use, small size and lightning speed.  Users regularly
  71. write me that they have replaced their copy of XTreeGold, PC Tools or
  72. Norton Utilities with CMFiler for most of their file management tasks.

  74. This document contains only a brief description of the package and its
  75. features, along with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed
  76. documentation is included in the package, but it is in archived form,
  77. and is more easily read after installation.

  79. CMFiler is a shareware program written by an author member of the Associ.
  80. ation of Shareware Professionals.  This evaluation version includes all
  81. features of the program, and is NOT CRIPPLED IN ANY WAY.  You may use it
  82. for up to 60 days, without charge.  If you like the program, and wish to
  83. continue its use after this evaluation period, you are required to pay
  84. for the program (see the file ORDER.TXT for more details).  Any fee you

  123. CMFiler requires no special installation procedure.  After decompressing
  124. the file set, simply copy the files CMFILER.COM and CMFILER.OVY (the
  125. main program and its overlay) to the directory from which you wish to
  126. run it, select that directory, and type CMFILER at the DOS prompt.

  128. Or, if you prefer, a batch file INSTALL.BAT is provided in the fileset
  129. which creates the directory \CF600 on the drive of your choice, and
  130. copies the files to it.  It also copies the file CF.BAT to the root of
  131. that drive. You should be able to simply type CF at the DOS prompt and
  132. run CMFiler.  INSTALL.BAT also includes instructions for adding CMFiler
  133. to a Windows 3.1 program group or Windows 95 program folder.

  138. The shareware edition of CMFiler is fully functional and is equivalent
  139. to the registered edition, in order that prospective registrants may
  140. evaluate the program in its fullest implementation.  The shareware
  141. edition is not crippled in any fashion, but does contain usage-sensitive
  142. registration reminder screens.  These screens are easily dispatched,
  143. and in no way indicate or signal any loss of function or capability.

  145. CMFiler has exhibited stable, reliable operation on a variety of
  146. IBM-compatible PC systems, and NoVaSoft has established a reputation for
  147. quickly fixing bugs and implementing user suggestions for improvements.
  148. Copies of CMFiler are running stably in all versions of MS-DOS down to
  149. 3.3, PC-DOS, DR-DOS and Novell DOS, Novell NetWare OS, Windows 3.1 and
  150. 95, and OS/2.

  163. of this VENDINFO.DIZ file is licensed to distribute this shareware
  164. edition of CMFiler without further permission from NoVaSoft.  Any
  165. individual evaluator or registered user of CMFiler is authorized and
  166. encouraged to distribute this edition to other potential users.

  168. This shareware edition of CMFiler is licensed to any user for evaluation
  169. for 60 days.  After 60 days use, the user is required to pay for
  170. CMFiler or stop using it.  CMFiler is not crippled in any way, and
  171. contains no time- or usage-triggered "logic bombs" or loss of
  172. capability.  It does contain time- and usage-triggered reminder
  173. screens encouraging the evaluator to honor his/her obligation to
  174. purchase CMFiler under NoVaSoft's copyright claim, but these screens are
